Sardines from inshore fisheries along the north-western coast of the Iberian Peninsula (northern Portugal and Galicia), caught using traditional methods without the use of trawl or bottom-set nets, thereby avoiding the catch of non-commercial or protected species and sizes. Fishing in European waters avoids the need to transport fish halfway around the world, helps to improve the carbon footprint and results in lower energy consumption.
The size of these sardines, 14–15 cm, corresponds to fish that are over one year old and have therefore already completed a reproductive cycle, thereby ensuring the natural stocks necessary for the survival of future generations of the species.
The sardines are cleaned and packed by hand with extra virgin olive oil from the first cold pressing, sourced from certified Spanish organic farming.
This fishery operates in accordance with European Union regulations and those of Portugal and Spain, which include closed seasons and catch limits per crew member, per fishing day and per vessel. The sardine fishery in northern Portugal is certified as sustainable by the MSC.

Our mussels come from certified organic bivalve mollusc aquaculture in Galicia, which is carried out in harmony with the environment, helping to promote the sustainability of the species whilst supporting families with a long tradition of seafaring.
These mussels are harvested from rafts situated in the Ría de Arousa, on the north-west coast of Spain, characterised by its deep, clear waters, which are rich in natural nutrients. They are cultivated on 12-metre-long ropes for a period of one year, allowing them to grow to an exceptional size and develop a distinctive flavour.
Packaged in a traditional marinade made with extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, paprika, onion and garlic, all sourced from certified organic farming.
