Description
Origin: Galicia – Pan do mar –
A pâté made with tuna from controlled and sustainable fisheries, caught one by one using rods by small-scale coastal fishermen in the Mid-Eastern Atlantic. Handcrafted according to a traditional recipe using tuna, Hojiblanca olives, extra virgin olive oil from the first cold pressing, onion, garlic and pepper sourced from certified organic farming.
Rod and line fishing, a method recommended and considered sustainable by various conservation organisations, prevents discards of unwanted sizes and of non-commercial or protected species, thereby ensuring the natural stocks necessary for the survival of future generations of the species. The fact that no nets are used guarantees the quality of the fish used in this product.
This fishing is carried out in accordance with European Union fisheries regulations, is monitored by ICCAT (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas) and supervised by the Earth Island Institute (Dolphin Safe).
Organic ingredients certified by BCS Öko-Garantie. Spanish authority for the control of organic production: ES-ECO-022-GA/CRAEGA, Regulatory Council for Organic Production in Galicia. Produced in accordance with the provisions of the European Regulation on Organic Production (EU) No 834/2007, Article 23.
